ities face the challenge of how to enhance mobility, ensure accessibility, and create high quality and efficient transport systems while reducing congestion, pollution and accidents. At Mileus, we believe that the future of urban transportation lies in efficient enforcement of intermodality and interoperability principles, motivating capacity sharing between the transportation players – be it public or private operators.

We address the prime cause of people using low-capacity vehicles (private or shared cars), which is the lack of comfort related to public transportation.

Creating new possibilities for urban transportation.

Mileus is a digital platform enabling real-time resource planning and automated interoperability between public transportation and taxi/ride-hailing services. Our main focus is to make residents’ evening commute back home more comfortable. We aim to guarantee the availability of our service so that they leave their cars at home in the morning.

We help to create new markets for car-pooling, ride-sharing or ride-hailing in locations that are further away from the urban centres. These locations have been difficult for ride-hailing operators to effectively provide with reasonable service availability and efficient vehicle utilization. Thanks to our solution, the vehicles with low occupancy will be reallocated to outer parts of the city, substantially easing the congestion levels in urban centres.

Grow your ride-hailing business with intermodality

Learn how you can:

  • Boost search to ride conversion rate
  • Increase ride frequency and average revenue per user
  • Improve vehicle utilisation and fleet efficiency

Download our free case study to find out how you can grow your ride-hailing business sustainably by providing intermodal service to customers.

Simultaneously, residents will be motivated to keep using backbone mass public transportation modes for getting out of the urban centre faster while having their last mile covered by ride-hailing, a more comfortable mean of transportation.

Addressing the challenges of ride-hailing operators, residents, and cities:

  • public transportation ridership within rush hours, urban centres & high congestion areas
  • quality of last mile commute-back-home transportation
  • utilization of existing vehicle resources in areas outside of city centres
  • engagement of ride-hailing passengers
  • ride-hailing transactions frequency & average revenue per user (ARPU)

Are you asking why?

The level of urbanization is estimated to increase to over 80% by 2050. Urban sprawl and the need to commute, combined with the delay of public transportation systems in the context of these new socio-economic conditions, are fuelling the growth of private cars usage.

Collective passenger transport (car-sharing or car-pooling) and ride-hailing have been expected to decrease the number of private cars and congestion levels in cities to some extent. However, the opposite has happened. The net effect is more cars on the roads, causing even more intense gridlocks. Furthermore, ride-hailing and taxi operators are predominantly operating within the lucrative urban centres with high congestion levels but are not enforced to serve the outer areas. Here,  transit authorities must provide sufficient transportation serviceability which is economically unviable and needs to be subsidized.

Mileus brings a solution to this conundrum, combing both – transit in city centres and taxi & ride-hailing services outside city centres. To reduce congestion and pollution in cities, increase comfort for commuters and enable rapid growth for ride-hailing and taxi operators.

A new adventure has just begun! We’ve set off on a long-term journey to enable more sustainable mobility and raise the standard of living for all residents of big cities.
